Even though we were in Montana visiting, people couldn't just skip out on their responsibilities. So while everyone was at work and school, Ashton and I went and spent some time with our mom-and-baby-BFFs Katie and Christian! It's fun to see them start to actually play together more and more each visit. It would be great if they lived a little closer...hint, hint!
Since it was a sunny, beautiful day, we decided to go to the park and take some pictures. We even convinced our friend Janet to come along. (Too bad she doesn't have a baby--it would've been too perfect!) Unfortunately, the wind picked up and made it really cold, so we didn't stay too long, but it was still fun. Ashton was hilarious! We don't really have a yard, and Utah's been a frozen tundra since he was 4 months old, so he had never really played on grass before. He loved it! He was riveted by every blade of grass and leaf and twig--I couldn't get him to look up to save my life. So that explains why he's looking down in every single picture. Way too interested to bother posing.
And, of course, since this is Montana, there's a big red tractor sitting abandoned in the park. Who needs a see-saw or a merry-go-round when you can climb on a rusted hunk of metal? Of course we had to take pictures with it.

Eventually it was too cold, and we all wanted to go home. We decided to go and play at Katie's parent's house for a while. Here are some pictures Katie snapped while we were there.

Christian loves giving kisses. Unfortunately Ashton offered his backside right as Christian moved to plant one on him...we had to intervene. :)
Ashton thought this toy of Christian's was the coolest thing ever. Long after Christian lost interest, Ashton was still playing away.
After all that playing, they were pretty tuckered out. They ended the day by enjoying their second-lunch bottles together.
It's nice to have a friend!
