Six Weeks!

Six weeks old and 9 pounds!!! Looks like our pattern of half a pound per week is holding steady. Woohoo!

Playtime

At five weeks old, Ashton suddenly became more social. He was no longer a bump on a log anymore, but would kick his legs and follow you with his eyes, and he would smile. (He's been smiling since three weeks old, but by five weeks you could get him to do it on purpose.) :)

One Month Old!

On the same day Ashton turned one month old we had a WIC appointment and they weighed him...8 pounds! Hooray!

Best Buds

The last day that Alycia, Preston, and Carter were here, Ashton and Carter were actually both awake and happy at the same time--since Ashton was usually Mr. Grumpy Pants. We laid them down next to each other and they officially met for the first time. I think they remembered one another from before they were born, because they really seemed to love each other!

Twin Cousins

Well, Ashton was born on the 16th of June, but just nine days earlier--on the 7th--Tyler's sister Alycia had her little boy Carter. So, I like to think that they are twin-cousins because they were born almost at the same time and they look like each other and they will be best buddies when they get older! We didn't think we'd get to see Carter (or any of their family) until Thanksgiving, but we were so lucky that Alycia and Preston and Carter were able to catch a ride down here. They stayed more than a week, and it was so fun! As you will see, Alycia is an amazing photographer, and she took lots of great pictures while she was here. Here are some that she took of the twin-cousins, dressed alike, of course. (Ashton is on the left and Carter is on the right.)

So I just figured out how to get the pictures from my phone to the computer. I didn't know you could do that until my dad did it with his phone...I just thought phone pictures got lost forever when you switched phones. So here are some of my favorite phone pictures of Ashton!
