Fun with the Family

One day when my Mom had to go work at the ranch, we decided to tag along. Ashton loved exploring a new and interesting place. For some reason, he was particularly fascinated with the swiffer that Mom used to dust the floor. He followed that thing all over the room, chasing it back and forth.

Another thing we did for fun was play Phase 10. (We somehow managed to stretch one game of it over three or four days...) Ashton really wanted to play with the cards, too, so my Mom got an old Phase 10 deck out for him to use. It was brilliant, because then we could play right there on the floor and he wouldn't even bother us. The only problem? He decided to eat them! It was pretty funny, though. He crawled around with them in his mouth like a little dog, just as happy as can be.

After a few rounds of the card game, Ashton was done eating cards and wanted to eat real food. My Mom was feeding him some pears when Ashton reached out and grabbed on to the fully loaded spoon. Mom, of course, tried to pull it away, causing it to fly out of his hand and shoot a glob of pear goo right into my Dad's face. It was pretty funny. :)

Ashton has also discovered that it is fun to scream, so now whenever he feels the need he'll just let it out. He thinks it's just great.

He'll also scream if he finds something especially funny. One night my Dad was telling me a story and he did a gesture with his hand and Ashton thought it was so funny! He screamed and squealed with laughter for literally five minutes. He was hysterical!

Such a crazy little boy...
