Over the past couple of weeks, Ashton has traded the army crawl for the traditional hands-and-knees method, and boy is he getting fast! He'll be across the room and see something he wants, and he'll get to it faster than I can blink! Well, maybe not that fast, but have a look for yourself:
The other thing he does now is stand up! Not free standing, of course--just when he's hanging on to something. But it's pretty impressive to me, because one day he couldn't even crawl regularly, and the next he just decided to crawl perfectly over to the bed and stand up all by himself! I was so surprised.
Now he's a pro at getting wherever he wants, and standing against whatever he wants. He'll even hold on with one hand and play with toys with the other.
Unfortunately, this all means that he's getting into more things he shouldn't, making more messes, and smacking into things and falling down a lot more. Poor guy! I guess that's just how you learn. :)
